For this task, we are actually required to draw a human being, which is what I love most, and also the thing that I have the most experience with. In my head, the process that I have to go through is very clear, so I started working straight away.
The first step was making a quick sketch, focusing on things like symmetry and proportions.
After that, I refined the features so that they would look accurate to the ones in my model. That meant also making some unsymetries.
To speed up the process I added some graphite powder to get a nice uniform tone, which I had to erase heavely on the face since I ended up using too much.
Starting with the face, I have tried to keep what my professor has told me in the past, which was that I had to be more gentle with my shading and have nicer transitions between the shadows and lights.
I made the hair quite dark, in order to add more contrast to the entire image.
