After adding some final touches and taking care of the background I can finally say that the project is done.
Looking back at the result and also at the developing process I can definitely say that there are things that I would have done differently. The main one is that I think the monorail is lacking some detail. I should have also added some smaller lights in the front of the vehicle to light the rail while it is traveling. Also, I feel like the windows look a bit flat, and also it would have been nice if the windshield showed some details from the inside. Technically speaking, I think the monorail is lacking as well, mainly because I did not really show how it is working.
Considering the fact that this vehicle is supposed to be worn down and show signs of heavy usage, the ice scrapper looks way too new and shiny
The things that I am happy about are the color palette and the general shape of the monorail. It took me a while to get to the final result, but I do think it was worth it. Having in mind that I do not have any knowledge bout any type of vehicles, cars included, I am relieved that I was able to wrap this out.
Having worked on this, I have picked up lots of skills, the photo bashing one being very useful and saving lots of time from rendering and painting all that surface detail by hand. This is something that I will definitely use going forward.
As in how I have structured the development process, I definitely need to think of different ways to approach it. I have spent way too much time wrapping up the idea of the project, and way too less on actually working on the project. I need to stop overthinking every small step that I make and let myself be freer from an artistic stand view.
