Week 22: Composition and Compositional Principles: Landscape

For this task, I have decided to make a landscape in colour with a lake from a park.

After some thought of how I was going to approach the composition, I started making the sketch. I wanted to give this drawing a very unique feel, so I chose my colour palette carefully and also taking that into consideration while making the sketch.

After the sketch was done I started colouring the environment, making my way from the back to the front. I wanted it to have a more abstract look, so I decided to make everything more blocky, the objects not having such well-defined shapes.

After adding some very dark shadows and very bright highlights, the drawing ended up looking very vibrant, completing the look and form that I was aiming for.

If I were to change something about this drawing, that would be adding more details in the front part.
