Start of the Ork's sculpt

The Ork in my concept has a very muscular body, quite toned. It is really important to me to get my character as similar as I can to the concept. Usually, the characters I have made in the past were mostly clothed, and I did 't have to put as much detail into the bodies since they were gonna be covered. Obviously, for this term's projects, that won't be the case., so I will be focusing on anatomy a lot more this time around.

My process is pretty straightforward right now. I start my sculpt with a bunch of primitives, that I stack together and manipulate them to a more similar shape, I dynamesh and zremesh everything afterwards, and then sculpt on top with the claytube brush, polishing and smoothing every now and then.

Obviously, this is just the beginning of the sculpt, but I can already tell that I made his face way too cute looking, considering the concept. Every since now, I've only worked on characters with very smooth and refined features, so it is a bit difficult for me to get on the more gritty side, but it is a challenge that I want to overcome. As a character artist, I need to be versatile, considering the different types of characters I will be working on in the future.
